It's the end of a long day of
workshops. The participants I had a chance to talk
with were thrilled with the challenges and insights
of their workshops. Thanks to the workshop
presenters for their time and dedication to lean
management. Hopefully both the presenters and Summit
attendees can mentally refresh because the Summit
hasn't even officially begun! Several people I spoke
with were headed to the Disney Parks to take in the
sights, thrills, and fireworks. See you in the
morning.

Summit participants started arriving
yesterday and many headed to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT,
Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. Had early
registration last night and got to see many familiar
faces.
There was a flurry of activity as
folks registered and headed to the optional
workshops. A larger percentage of people are
attending workshops than in any previous Summit.
Lean Accounting 101, 201, Cost Management, Lean in
the Office, Lean Accounting Simulation and more are
both educating and providing ideas for competitive
advantages.
I just had the honor of spending
some time with Norman Bodek. He's a brilliant man
and has made significant new discoveries in his
recent trips to Japan. Looking forward to his
keynote presentation on Wednesday. Name
tags waiting to be claimed by arriving Summit
participants...
